halt 14?

some long computations I do end with
"halt 14".

What is happening?
(I suspect it means inability to allocate
more memory; then it probably should be in the Manual/FAQ...

It is indeed an emergency exit after an out-of-memory-condition.
at some place whre it is not catched or could not be handled
in a good way.
